On Wednesday, April 5, St. Anthony Shawnee is encouraging the community to ditch their chair and take steps toward a more active, healthier future by participating in the American Heart Association's National Walking Day. The community is invited to participate in a walk around the airport track, starting at 5:15 p.m., in front of St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital Surgery Center on the corner of MacArthur and Kethley Rd.

St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital Volunteers offer scholarships
High school seniors who plan to pursue a career in health care are invited to apply for scholarships offered by the Volunteers at St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital.
The St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital Volunteers are proud to offer two scholarship opportunities, a $1000 and $2000 scholarship. Applicant must be a high school senior attending a school within the hospital's five county service area, which includes; Pottawatomie, Hughes, Seminole, Lincoln, and Okfuskee. In addition, applicants must have a favorable GPA, and have an interest in pursuing a health care career.
Applications must be postmarked by April 3, 2017.
